A one-way crossing of the High Atlas on the Tizi n'Tichka — Morocco's highest major road pass at 2,260m — with the Telouet kasbah, argan stops and Aït Ben Haddou en route to Ouarzazate.
The Tizi n'Tichka is the dramatic mountain road that links Marrakech to Ouarzazate and the south. We climb through Berber villages and switchbacks to the 2,260m pass, then drop toward the kasbah country. The highlight detour is Telouet — the half-ruined palace-kasbah of the Glaoui, with astonishing painted-cedar and zellij rooms hidden behind plain earthen walls.
We rejoin the route at Aït Ben Haddou for the UNESCO ksar, arriving in Ouarzazate by evening. It works beautifully as a scenic transfer day for anyone moving from Marrakech to the desert, turning a transfer into a tour.

Can this run in the other direction, Ouarzazate → Marrakech?
Yes. We run it both ways — it's an ideal scenic transfer whichever way you're travelling. Tell us your start point and hotels and we'll set the pickup.
Is the pass open in winter?
Usually yes, but snow can briefly close the Tizi n'Tichka in mid-winter. We watch the forecast and, if needed, re-route or adjust timing — your driver knows the conditions day to day.
Can I change the dates or itinerary?
Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Add a day, swap a kasbah, change the start point — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.
How fit do I need to be?
Easy. Light walking on kasbah steps and earthen lanes, plus optional activities you can opt in or out of on the day.
When should I book?
For high season (Oct–Apr) and any trip involving the Sahara or the Rose Valley harvest, book 6–10 weeks ahead. Last-minute (under 14 days) is usually still possible with a phone call.
